Head of IT & Cybersecurity
About the Role
Frankenburg builds next-generation defence missile systems for the free world and is scaling fast across Europe. We are looking for a Head of IT & Cybersecurity to design, standardize, and secure our entire digital estate.
This high-influence role blends strategy with hands-on execution: you will define the future architecture, set clear standards, decide where to build, buy, or partner (balancing speed, cost, and classified-data requirements), and lead disciplined adoption with our external IT partner and in-house teams. Your leadership will ensure our infrastructure remains fast, cohesive, and defence-grade secure as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Group IT and Security Strategy
Define the desired future state for cloud, on-premises, network, and endpoint environments across multiple countries, and own a phased roadmap to reach it. - Policy and Process Governance
Establish clear company-wide standards for identity management, access control, asset management, and DevSecOps; monitor compliance and refine as we scale. - Cybersecurity Operations
Lead threat modelling, infrastructure hardening, security monitoring, and incident response; ensure compliance with defence and data-protection regulations. - Vendor and Partner Management
Own the relationship with our external IT partner, set SLAs, track KPIs, coordinate joint initiatives, and onboard additional vendors as needed. - Operational Visibility and Reporting
Maintain a clear real-time overview of assets, risks, and expenditures; deliver concise status updates and change-management communications internally.
We Would Love You to Have
- International Experience
Experience in leading enterprise-wide IT or cybersecurity functions, ideally in a multi-country, high-growth, regulated environments. - Broad IT Fluency
Practical knowledge of modern cloud platforms and on-prem infrastructure. - Security Experience
You’ve led or played a key role in IT security projects, handled audits, or managed responses to serious incidents, and know what it takes to keep systems secure under pressure. - Change-Maker Mindset
A persuasive communication skills that turn policy into practice using data, training, and structured follow-up. - Structured Thinking
Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps, budgets, and dashboards. - Mission Alignment
Deep commitment to our mission of building affordable and mass-manufacturable technologies to enhance defence capabilities. - Security Clearance
Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment. - Open to Relocate
Willingness to relocate to Tallinn.
