Quality Lead
About the Role
Frankenburg builds next-generation defence missile systems for the free world and is scaling fast across Europe. We are seeking a hands-on Quality Lead to establish and oversee quality assurance systems across our expanding international operations. You'll have a chance to build the processes from the ground up and define how quality is embedded at every stage of our product and production lifecycle.
This high-impact role is both strategic and operational — from developing quality assurance policies to ensuring that our products and processes consistently meet regulatory, industry, and customer standards. As a Quality Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring production reliability, driving process improvements, and promoting a strong quality culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance Management
Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures across all stages of product development and manufacturing. - Audit and Compliance
Lead internal and external audits to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company standards. - Documentation and Reporting
Maintain quality records, reports, and performance metrics to provide insights to senior leadership. - Team Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to manage quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Product Lifecycle Support
Contribute to quality oversight in new product introductions, design modifications, and failure investigations throughout the product lifecycle. - Supplier Oversight
Monitor and assess supplier performance, conduct audits, and resolve quality issues with components and materials.
We Would Love You to Have
- Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience
At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance roles, with a background in manufacturing for aerospace or defence preferred. - Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS 9100) and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, FMEA, CAPA). - Soft Skills
Solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication, and keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. - Mission Alignment

Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment. - Open to Relocate
Willingness to relocate to Tallinn or Riga.
