At Frankenburg, you will join an exceptional team that unites leading figures from NATO’s eastern flank in both technology and national defence. As our Aerodynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving the aerodynamic performance of missiles and structures. Your role involves conducting simulations and wind tunnel tests, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for enhanced performance, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct aerodynamic analyses using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to predict airflow behavior around designs.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop efficient and innovative aerodynamic shapes for vehicles and structures.
- Manage the inventory of wind tunnel testing equipment and ensure all tools are maintained and calibrated.
- Coordinate wind tunnel testing schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet project deadlines.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate aerodynamic findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of new design concepts and modifications.
- Meet project milestones and performance targets to support the successful launch of aerodynamic products.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in aerodynamics technologies and methodologies to enhance design processes.
We Would Love You to Have
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in aerodynamics, or related field with a proven track record of successful project contribution.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamics principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CFD software (e.g. ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, Missiledatcom).
- Performance: Proven track record in delivering outstanding results through collaborative teamwork in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

- Security Clearance: Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.
